Hello!

Great community here!  I found it when searching online for more info about a school offering really expensive RE educational courses under the veil of "mentorship" and thanks to the great input here, saved me from wasting my time and money on it.

I currently live in the Chicago area, interested in getting into REI, and seeking to find folks in the area interested in working together in a team or partnership to invest in RE here. I do have financial resources, and I'm trying to find solid opportunities to invest. One of my thoughts is the classic flip, but I would need to team up with a good general contractor.

I've also come across a few established businesses that offer to flip on behalf of their investor clients.  Their sales pitches are enticing, which of course raises in my mind red flags of possible scams, but after searching online (including here), I can't find one negative report posted against them. So, while I'd much prefer handling my own business dealings locally, if I really can't find a way to work with a local partner or team, I think I would seriously consider this as another option.

Thanks again for making this forum available, and looking forward to the exciting journey ahead learning from and interacting with you all.

Dave
