Hi all,

I'm moving to Birmingham, AL with my wife and children at the end of this month.  We are very interested in the buy and hold rental model.  Our goals will be to develop a business we can be proud of and eventually pass the business to our children, make enough money to make this our first time job, and of course try to have a little fun.    Once we're settled in at the end of this month we will begin in earnest looking for our first investment.  I have a number of questions about the Birmingham market and where best to get started.  I'll toss out one to get started:

I haven't seen a lot of Class A rentals available since we've started doing our market research.  Does this mean that they don't do well or that they don't stay on the market?  This intrigues us the most and would ideally be where we focused our time and energy (i.e. why wouldn't we just target 3/2s in Vestavia Hills?).

Look forward to hearing from everyone and look forward to learning a lot from this community!

Brad Arnold Be sure to contact J Benoit . He's a trustworthy guy that will be able to help you for both now and the long term. Decas Group is highly recommended. I did my due diligence and couldn't find anything bad about them. And meeting them in person solidified my thoughts that they are the real deal. Good luck.
