Lokesh,

My FICO.com is run by the Fair Issac Corporation. They are the maintainers of the "FICO" scoring system within the credit world. The site is a legit company. The score they are giving you are based on their scoring model. FICO is used by 90% of companies that will pull your credit report. When you cann the individual credit agencies, they will tell you myfico.com is wrong because they want you to subscribe to their scoring products which are FAKO scores and will dramatically overinflate your actual credit score. I would stick with My FICO if I were you.

is there a process to purchase HOA liens? Can I go directly to the community HOA board to purchase outstanding liens?

Has anyone found a good source for yellow copy paper as of yet? I know guy who owns a paper company overseas and could produce. But the problem is, of course it has to be bought in bulk to be worth his while. Any comments on this?

Will,

I am not withholding rent as I have no proof as of yet. If it does go into foreclosure, I will most likely put in an offer as I am active duty military and just moved into this place less than a year ago. I'm not looking forward to doing it again. Another interesting note, my lease ends at the end of October so I am interested to see if he will renew it or not. I guess I will have to wait and see. I plan on calling him today.

Hello All,

I rent a townhouse in western Maryland. About 3 weeks ago my landlord recieved a UPS letter. I sent the letter to his home address not thinking much of it. Yesterday, the postman delievered two certified letters, one for him and another for his wife, who is also listed as an owner of the property. They were from Chase Bank. We had a RE agent come through about twice to take pictures of the place a few months back. We were told that this was a requirement by their mortgage company.

I didn't buy this and started digging to see if they were attempting to sell the place, which I found nothing. I called the County Recorder yesterday and asked if there were any notices of default filed which the rep told me there wasn't. I am wondering if there is any other avenues I can take to see if my landlord is behind on his mortgage or potentially facing foreclosure.

I was watching our America with lisa long the other night. Apparently people have created a business out of renting only to registered sex offenders. I am interested if anyone has any experience executing this business model or knows anyone who has. All info welcomed.

I am in Western Maryland (Hagerstown). I would love to meet up with some other MD'ers as well.

Austin,

Your company would most likely meet an exemption under Reg. D. What you need to remember is that you can only accept accreddited investors with private placement. With a new law that just passed this year, you will soon be able to advertise private placements on billboards, magazines, ect. I think it's a good idea but this will sadly be exploited by all the con artists out there in the business world.
