Hey @Derrick Dunn in addition to MREIA, checkout meetup.com and do a search for real estate investors. You'll get a big list of groups. Many are pretty active.

Hey @Andy DeFruscio,  I think you know AJ too. He told me I might want to connect with you. My husband and I are looking for a property to flip. Keep me in mind if you come across anything. Concord meets on Thursdays. We've been to a few of the meetings. 

Any Charlotte investors and Mreia members attending the concord subgroup meeting tomorrow?

There is the Metrolina REIA and the Charlotte REIA. most people recommended the metrolina one so that's where we joined. They have one big monthly meeting per month which is attended by a ton of people. They also have subgroups in Concord, University, Matthews and other locales which also meet monthly. I'd check out their site. I believe you can attend one meeting for free. Meetup also has several groups which meet often. Just search for real estate investors and you'll find them. Most of those meetings are free to attend.

My husband and I are also just getting started. We live in Harrisburg and are looking to connect with other local or out of town investors. He is a licensed GC and I am a licensed broker. We are hoping to joint venture with an investor willing to handle the funding. He has over 20 years construction experience doing everything from building luxury custom homes to punch lists for agents. Most recently he has been rehabbing for other flippers and works primarily for investors and agents.  For the past 2 years, I have been working with investors on both sides of the Real estate deal. Hoping to do a flip for ourselves soon.

We are also trying to network and learn as much as we can so I'm spending a lot of time on BP and attending REIA meetings and sub meetings. I highly recommend joining MREIA. Maybe we can connect at a local meeting.
