Communities Printing Their Own Currency

This is great info. I didn't know it was legal to do that. What a great idea. Michael, maybe we should hook up down here in Tampa Bay and print our own that we can exchange for all these properties going into foreclosure. We can call them Bay Area Bail Out Bills lol!

I do referrals for an attorney that handles loan modifications. I will usually refer people who come to me for a short sale but are adamant on trying to keep possession of their home rather than sell it. I know I've had some people come back plenty thankful to me for that referral. But my personal feelings on it are to pay someone to do that is literally a waste of money. The lenders don't want the house and most are happy enough to try to work out a solution with the home owner so they can keep their home. I had a rental property that wound up in foreclosure before I could remove the tenant and I was able to do this on my own. I am neither an attorney nor did I use one. But then again, I am experienced in negotiating short sales.

Here is a link for an article that tells of some of the constructive ways in which some states are handing these types of issues. I hope I see more of this. It is long overdue.

The great part about it is we can. But then we'd be cutting off some badly needed programs like Social Security (oh, that's right, they're already broke) and the country's military and defense (but we don't really need that since BO just pretty much handed our country over to China).

I don't think you quite understand the logic behind the Federal government. Once itsin their hands, its no longer "our" money. If it was, we'd have a say in where it went. Like my analogy above points out, we keep feeding it, it keeps getting bigger and bigger and its eating us alive.

I am not so much suggesting we abolish the Fed either, so much as clean it up. How to do that, other than cleaning house and starting over...well, I'm not a politician. Hopefully one with some degree of morals and intellectual capacity will come along and figure that out before its too late. The current system is not working in regards to its original intent. It has grown too large and has overstepped its bounds, rather like an abusive parent. I believe the States need some overall governing body but that the majority of government needs to be left in their hands. A system of checks and balances needs to be in place and currently we do no have that.

No, I haven't spoken to a lawyer. I didn't know whether to contact one here or where they were. in other words, I'm clueless as to how to go about it with her out of state. And no, she probably doesn't have any assets since she wouldn't pay her rent. But she has a job and I'd think she could pay it off in payments at least.

I'm just below you in Florida where its really hard to sell and I don't know how fast you're wanting to move it but what I typically do is list on MLS and keep dropping 3% every 2 weeks until it gets to a price where I start getting bites. Alternatively, you can auction it.

The property is in Florida. I'm not sure this would qualify as small claims. Its around $14K. total rent and utilites. Court clerk here in Florida or Indiana the tenant is?
