Hi Amanda,

I started working on a home last week I'm planning on flipping. I would suggest connecting with a realtor and get comps for your area. I look at the interior pictures of the homes that have sold recently. I find these to be an invaluable resource of information. It gives me an idea of what type of upgrades to do.

I can see how long homes took to sell, what they were originally listed for and what they actually sold for. They give me ideas of color pallet for painting.

Good luck!

Hi Keith,

Welcome to BP! Like yourself I am a residential contractor. Two years ago I decided to make a change to my business model. I've been buying duplexes fixing them up and keeping them, cash flow is great. I just purchased a house to flip last week.

The information I've got from fellow members has been invaluable,. Good luck!

Hi Matt,

Welcome to BP! Great goals, you mentioned having a good realtor. That is a key factor in being successful in REI. Another factor and probably the most important factor is having a lender who is able to help you realize your dreams.

Most realtors have a lender they work with. You should ask your realtor if they have anyone they can refer.

Good luck!
