Greetings. Any recommendations for a portfolio lender/small bank that will lend under $100k (acquisition and rehab)? These are for 1-4 family houses in Cleveland, Akron or Canton areas.

I want to borrow money from my IRA to buy a rental. It would be a loan bcuz I will put the money back after I refinance.

Would I be charged penalties/fees from IRA?

Don't EVER Underestimate the Importance of Title Insurance!

What is Title Insurance, anyway, and why do you need it?

Title insurance protects buyers and mortgage lenders against defects or problems with title, unpaid property taxes; fraud or forgery of a previous deed; and a spouse or unknown heir who makes a claim against the property when there is a transfer of property ownership.

If a title dispute arises during a sale, the title insurance company may be responsible for paying specified legal damages, depending on the policy. Title policies are a one- time premium, unlike car or homeowners insurance.
