I know what you mean. I was thinking the same thing. Will just have to see what happens down the road.

George P. Sorry that I didn't make it clear. I normally read a book the first time more like a shotgun blast instead of a laser beam. I read it for the broader scene and the second time reading I am more focus on one topic and will try to pick that one topic out. The third time through I would pick another topic and do the same thing. All this reading is not done in one sitting but would take me some months to do. Sorry for confusing you.

Rich Weese Okay no problem. Welcome and I'll reread the book over and see what I can come up with that may or may not work in today's market.

Rich Weese I'm going to reread the book and do it with an eye open concerning what strategy(ies) may not work in today's market.

This is a review of “From Janitor to Multi-Millionaire” by R. Mike Weese. Let’s just say that I strongly believe that it should be required reading in high school and in college. Having said that, this is not your typical how-to book, however, it does give the readers tips on the way he purchased properties.

It’s true that he was lucky at the time and place when he started buying properties. Some of the methods that he used would not work today, but if read with an open mind and the reader thinks outside the box, the reader should be able to accomplish the same thing that he did. The book does not go into the concepts of real estate investing but rather the processes that he used in purchasing the properties he discusses in the book.

The book is easy to read. It took me a day to finish the book since I just couldn't put it down. There is neither fluff nor white noise. He lays it all out with why he purchased a property a certain way. He goes into great detail about the albatross that we all have around our necks. That chapter was very enlightening and it opened my eyes even wider.

Would I recommend this book? Yes, in a New York minute. Get the book, read it, read it again, and start to think outside the box. Once you have read it a few times, go out and purchase the properties you will start to see once your eyes are open to the possibilities that are in front of you.

David Luu I agree with Rob K about making a copy but instead of one make two. Put one in a folder with their name on it mail the second back to yourself after signing the back of the flap of the envelope. That way you will have an official dated copy.

Javon Rice You can ask if they want to sell to you. You can also find out what type of properties they purchase? Check in the file download area and see if there isn't a questions sheet that you can ask landlords.
