Since we are investing in a self storage conversion project with Scott Krone, we thought we'd ask him to do a webinar for our members to highlight the incredible value that can be added to otherwise undervalued property by converting it into class "A" self-storage property, creating massive returns in the process!

If you've been to our meetup you know that we think that Self Storage is pretty awesome. However.... It is really, really, *really* hard to find a value add deal in self storage. Tell us about it!
We've been looking for almost a year!
That is why, when we met Scott Krone and his business partner at the SF Bay Area Summit, we were very interested in their strategy of converting undervalued buildings into climate controlled self storage facilities!
In fact we were so intrigued that we flew out to Chicago and Milwaukee a few weeks later to see for ourselves what Scott and his SSSK Capital Group had been up-to.
We visited their existing projects, and the ones that are in the hopper. And, after doing our own due diligence, decided to invest with SSSK!
If you are interested in what we found during our field trip, let us know and we can send you our picture filled trip notes.
Anyway, as you can tell, we are very excited about our newest investment and are happy to have Scott share with our group how they add value to the building, the neighborhood and their investors:)!

Post: 2018 Goal Setting w/ Success Dynamo & Syndicator, Vinney Chopra!

It's hard to stay focused - and positive - when trying to expand in a hot market. Deal are hard to find, and its easy to get behind on your goals. This month, we have one of the most positive, happy people you'll every meet to help us set our goal and get motivated for 2018.
And, you may ask, is staying positive and on target working for Mr. Chopra - who by the way, sometimes is called "Mr. Smiles"? As it turns out pretty good, 12 syndication's in the last 24 months alone...
The "About the Author" Section below should give you an idea, or, or listen to any of these 6 podcasts that he has appeared on:

AGENDA:
About The Speaker:
The story behind Vinney Chopra’s success in real estate investment and syndication is a testament to the power of enthusiasm, passion, persistence and positivity. When Vinod Chopra came to the United States from India more than 40 years ago, he had only $7 in his pockets. But he knew without a doubt that the opportunities offered by this country were within reach because he had a vision for his life plus the commitment to learn, work hard and sacrifice to achieve those goals. With a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, he entered The George Washington University to seek a master of business administration degree in marketing and advertising. He sold Bibles and educational books door-to-door to support his studies, excelling both in the classroom and outside because of his work ethic and overwhelmingly positive attitude.
There’s a reason Vinney’s nickname is “Mr. Smiles,” which is evident even through just hearing the demeanor in his voice! He has always believed in individuals’ ability to shape the world around them through positive thought and selfless actions, and he has been a passionate motivational speaker and teacher for over three decades. After getting a taste of sales and marketing while pursuing his MBA, Vinney decided to leave engineering altogether and become a motivational speaker and fundraiser. He worked tirelessly to build clientele that would work with him annually to raise the funds to meet their goals and dreams.
He became intrigued – like so many other people, perhaps even you – with the challenge and benefits of public speaking, fundraising for non-profit organizations and real estate investing. He earned his real estate broker’s license on the first attempt and has dedicated his career not only to mastering the field of fundraising and motivation through speaking engagements and the art of building wealth through real estate investing, but more importantly, to sharing that knowledge and expertise – and his passion for doing good – with others.
Vinney has done that first through creating a successful fundraising career with a top national private corporation and, recently, a real estate investing business and partnering with other dedicated investors through syndication deals. He also has established a Multifamily Syndication Academy and now also a Youth Academy.
Vinney turned his attention to multifamily investing and syndication a few years after becoming an active commercial real estate broker in California in 2004. He and his team have built his business from the ground up, learning effective techniques, ideas and concepts and putting them into action. He has done 26 syndications – 12 of them in the last 24 months – and now is able to raise $5 million to $10 million for his offerings in only a few days, in many cases. He is a systems guru (in the best sense of that term!), having designed proven systems of underwriting, acquisition, team building, presenting, syndication and management of multifamily investment properties. Vinney’s companies have controlled more than $172 million in multifamily assets.
Currently, Vinney oversees Moneil Investment Group, LLC, and Moneil Management Group, LLC, in addition to teaching through his academies. He is wrapping up his first two companies at the same time. He exudes positivity and confidence, as evidenced in the many valuable lectures he has made available through this site. He also offers various courses and mentoring services.
Nothing provides him more fulfillment and joy than knowing he has helped others achieve the success and peace that he himself knows. He is passionate about working hard with his team of professionals to provide great returns to well-established investors who have trusted him and his team. He believes in total transparency of operations and doing everything possible to maintain the trust and confidence of his valued investors and partners. He is always thinking about ways to add value to residents, staff, investors and partners.

This hands-on, step-by-step Show-and-Tell training session is your chance to sit down in a small group with Neal "Mr. Apartment" Bawa and actually see him pull back the curtain and work his magic! He will show how he and his company find, market and manage multi family properties all over the US!
You'll find no slide deck with superficial teaser information at this 90-120 minute session! It's a true a workshop with a show-and-tell format where Neal actually shows how his company finds deals in real time.
He will also provide detailed information on how they market to tenants and how they find and manage find property managers. There is also information on you can get involved and eventually become a Multifamily promoter yourself, if that is a path of interest.
The attendees will also get to see, in real-time, how their staff in the U.S., India and the Philippines runs their apartment complexes with efficiency and control, at a cost lower than that of competitors.
Neal will show you some of their running marketing campaigns and how they funnel leads into our apartments. Neal will also show how they specifically target smartphone users so they can market to them using text and email, and accelerate the leasing cycle.
Finally, you will see how our continuous audits force our property managers to stay on top of their employees, expenses and tenants, and expose their weaknesses.
We are convinced you'll be AMAZED at how Neal and his team leverage technology and outsourcing to bring innovation and efficiency to an otherwise pretty stagnant industry!
