@Justin Silverio

Hi! You are real! I heard your recorded BP Podcast on You Tube about a month ago. Sorry, I am a newbie, so I had to write this to you.

@Tom Feret

I am open to any area as long as it is not the drug dealing neighborhoods.  I am comfortable with North Oak Cliff, North Dallas, Irving, areas north of DFW Airport, the Mid-Cities Area, Grand Prairie, and Arlington. I would be ok with Duncanville and Cedar Hill. I would like buy and rent out in areas where tenants can pass a criminal background and have no evictions. That is quite a wish list.

Thank you Kelly. I won't be having conversations with that person about Wholesaling. I have an interest in buying a great deal from a Wholesaler, repairing, renting for 1-2 years and then selling the home. I would like to follow that pattern multiple times.

Sherri,

I would like to attend. Do I just show up or do I need to RSVP? Is it just a meeting or dinner & meeting?

I am newbie and have not figured our how to navigate through all of Bigger Pockets or the Real Estate investing internet world. I recently learned of a Wholesaler meet up that occurred yesterday in Arlington, Texas. How does one find out about the meet ups in Bigger pockets or other Real Estate Learning events? I live in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, but closer to Fort Worth, Texas.

Hello Cherry,

I am a Newbie also. I have been following Real Estate Investment for over a year. I read a lot of information, watch lots of videos, and hear lots of podcasts. All this is great, but it does no good if you do not take action. I know that.

The other advice from me is to build relationships with people who know the business.  Go out and meet up with people in the BP Community.

Hi Karen. I don't have an answer for you, because I don't know of any contractors that I would recommend.
I do want to share with you what I have experienced so far. My sister just remodeled her home in Grand Prairie, Texas which is adjacent to Arlington. It took them 30 days longer to remodel because the subcontractors were very busy and the rain we had impacted the scheduling. Total Remodel time was 4 months.

I had a new home built in Arlington in 2013 and it took 8 months to build. Lots of delays in starting. The new Arlington community I live in will have 5,000 residents when it is all done. The community has just under 1,000 homes built so far.

The word on the street is that Dallas Fort Worth is booming with home remodeling and builds, that the contractors are very busy and running behind. I was told by my builder that contractors are working for who pays them more or a bonus.

Just sharing what I hear and know.
