Welcome to BP. There is a DC REIA in Upper Marlboro and also a NOVA REIA that I just went to yesterday in Annandale, VA. A lot of great info was shared by experienced investors in the area. You can go on meetup.com and search for others as well.

Awesome feedback. One of the great things about this site is how freely folks share great info.

Hey BP family,

So there's this vacant property in my neighborhood that I have my eye on. The house has been vacant for a few years as the homeowner was diagnosed with dementia and is currently in a nursing home. I checked my county's tax assesor site and it still states that the property is the homeowner's primary residence. My question is, who do I reach out to about the property and how in the world do I find them? Thanks in advance for any advice :)
