 Hi Eric-

Do you still have HVAC (need maintenance) and painter (interior) recommendations?

Am looking for flooring (demo old and install new) as well but am starting with finding a good painter first.

Thanks

Copy A of this form is provided for informational purposes only. Copy A appears in red, similar to the official IRS form. The official printed version of Copy A of this IRS form is scannable, but the online version of it, printed from this website, is not. Do not print and file copy A downloaded from this website; a penalty may be imposed for filing with the IRS information return forms that can’t be scanned. See part O in the current General Instructions for Certain Information Returns, available at www.irs.gov/form1099, for more information about penalties.

Please note that Copy B and other copies of this form, which appear in black, may be downloaded and printed and used to satisfy the requirement to provide the information to the recipient.

I'm not sure why they are providing this because all of what they say cannot be used. Copy A is needed to send to the IRS and they specifically say do not print and file. It says it in the first sentence, provided for informational purposes only.

Copy B, however, is good to distribute to the recipient but without Copy A (IRS version) it's not really any good.

Thanks for the information. I did order just in case and completely forgot about the shut down - how could I but I did ?!?

I did find a site that allowed me to enter the information and save the form that has all the parts including the (red) that goes to the IRS but was then concerned about it being "official".

Is there a site to recommend that would be acceptable to the IRS? When I search there is so much that shows up I wonder who is legit and who is not.

My understanding is that just having the red ink doesn't make it compliant.

I wish I could recommend a specific site.  I use professional software that files all of my clients' 1099s and W2s in batches, but I paid for the full software package.  I'm sure they don't have a consumer portal.

If you utilize a CPA, perhaps they have a similar service?

Yes, it was something about it being able to be scanned?

I saw that page. It states in at the top that it is not "official" and cannot be used.

I only have one 1099 that I need to distribute and most of the sites I found charge for e-filing. I just want to fill it out, print and mail. I could do it manually but I don't want to write it in, rather would type it up. If I had several I would pay for a service but this doesn't happen often enough to do.

Does anyone know of a site I can use to online fill in and print that would be official? Otherwise, I will just order from the gov site to do it manually.

Thanks

No problem @Lamont Marable.

Did you find some affordable appliances?

I am going with this site unless at the time of purchase I can find a comparable local store.
