We are planning to add about 400 sft suite. Though we can finish most of the interior work, we are skeptical about foundation and framing. How do we go about it? We might be willing to hire a professional for this work. We are located in Cincinnati, OH. Please do refer if you have used a contractor for this kind of work.

@ShashankR, We live in Ohio and invest in Ohio, Indiana & Kentucky market. Not the best, but the homes are much more affordable to buy, especially smaller multi family rentals.

I am looking for a sponsor broker as well. Should the sponsor broker be in my area or can he/she be there anywhere in Ohio?

I am from Cincinnati OH. My husband & I are getting started with real estate investing with a buy and hold goal in mind. We decided that having a real estate sales person license is going to be a valuable tool. I am going to take up the pre-license courses, meanwhile I am looking for a sponsor broker, someone who is small, preferably in Tristate area. Most of my transactions are going to be our own buy/sell. But I might have some occasional buy/sell transactions for third parties / family / friends etc.

Please PM me if you are interested to help me by sponsoring. Thanks in advance.

Thank you Lauren. This helps. What is the typical split? I bet small brokerages charge much less. Also how did you go about finding a sponsor brokerage?
