I am still trying to wrap my head around taking a possible mortgage for 600k+ on a multifamily property with my VA loan. I have two properties in Florida and the cost of these properties are dirt cheap compared to the properties in this market. How do you play in this market? I think it might be a bad move to jump in seattle and maybe just go invest in another property in Florida. Would love to hear all advice. Thanks for the help.

I am currently PCSing with the navy and was wondering if it is good for H&R block to do my taxes for my investment properites in florida or should I try to track down a cpa? Thanks for the help.

Their origination fee looks like to be 1% right under 6 k for their 600k loan. What they need to bring to closing in 16k.

My friends got quoted for 2.25% in Norfolk with a 30 year fixed rate VA loan. Is this a good rate or can they do better. Thanks for the help.

Go look at Navy to Navy homes they should give you a better rate than 10%. The head guy is very knowledgeable and has all of the property management certifications and licenses. Prior navy guy. I am probably going to use them when I get to your level.

What strategy are you trying to play. If it is buy and hold I would look at st johns County, orange park and southside/mandrain. If you are looking to do flips reccomend orange park, and Middleburg. I am doing buy and hold so I bought my properties in st johns County which is the best school district in the state. I had no issues with finding and placing tenants due to the properties being in good areas and the schools. Let me know if you have any more questions.

I started both of mine after they closed and had tenants move in a couple of weeks later. Take good pictures. 

Trust the numbers and make the investments even when many people are telling you not to.
