I am thinking about demo'ing my duplex and building 4 units. Anybody with experience doing this? Any advice? What should I be on the lookout for? All comments are appreciated.

You need screens & grounded outlets (especially ones within 1.5 feet of water). But I dont get providing access to the attic. Each HA has minimal housing quality standards (HQS), find out what they are for your area. I dont see a prob with meeting with the inspection supervisor to 'discuss' them.

What do you mean by 'Township issues'? I have had S8 tenants and I prefer not renting to S8. I rather lower my rent slightly & market to working families.

I just had the same thing happen except they were not a S8 tenant. Lesson learnt!

Most housing authorities offer 'Owner' workshops/orientations. And, they have an Admin Plan. Usually on their website. Protect yourself and read it.
