I'm up in Lexington. The suburbs of Detroit seem very promising. 

I'd be very careful about which companies devices get used. I.T. people usually call IoT the internet of unpatched things for a reason. I'd hate to build a technology into the business plan and find out the company dropped support for the devices after a year to force expensive upgrades.

What about RE investing makes the bank say it's a red flag to open a business checking account? Did they give you an explanation?

So how do you find out what the issue is? 

I've always heard people say you should avoid doing business with family. Sorry that's not really helping but it's a common bit of advice I've heard all over.
