be careful your 'friend' doesn't screw you out of deal/s as you seem to be talking about basically handing over precious info about potential goldmines you are researching. money is a funny thing it divides people.

he is asking about mortgage info, which, I don't believe is so readily available.

you guys are talking about property info. you can use the county assessor to see if they pay the taxes but I don't believe any of the options listed will allow you to determine the status of their mortgage, as that is very private financial information.

I think what he may really be asking is, if I use a bird dog and call him my "partner", am I avoiding the illegality of essentially having had him broker a transaction.

Ryan, are you saying you sign off your assignment to the other wholesaler and then he signs off one of his own to his buyer?

my deal is still good, i just have to wait 60 more days to get paid.

what does it mean for it to be a HUD home?

I'm sorry, I have only been here for about a month so I can't really consider the long-term increase, it just seemed like the first week I was on here there would be dozens of new threads starting every day in the categories I watch a lot ('real estate basics->starting out' and 'real estate strategies->wholesaling forum') and now there aren't nearly as many. I'm running out of new reading material lol!
