Hi everyone! I am looking to connect with other women in the real estate investment field. I am starting a new company in Pittsburgh. Just getting started is difficult and I am also anticipating some challenges in being taken seriously, specifically from contractors and the like. Let me know if you'd like to connect! Thanks :)

Hi there! I recently started a small scale real estate development company here in Pittsburgh, HeyDay Development. We focus on community development and community driven investment. We aim to bring buildings and properties back to their heyday, at the same time providing affordable and middle income rental housing. I’d love to connect and learn more about your goals! Thanks.

Join Meetups and online networking events to start building relationships. Follow up with people, talk to them about what you're doing and what they want, and ask if they'd be interested in partnering up with you.

Starting with friends and family is good, but I believe one should go where the fish are biting. And that's at real estate networking events. People are more likely to know a good vs bad deal, know how to help you along and add value, and are more likely to want to partner on a real estate investment.

Thanks Taylor, appreciate it! I will be joining the Pittsburgh REI group meeting 1/17.

Thank you, Dan! That is great advice. I will definitely do that. Appreciate it!

Hi all! I am new to this. I am looking to start investing in a borough right on the border of Pittsburgh, PA. I am looking for equity partners/private money investors. Where do I begin? I would like to have some potential partners lined up before identifying a property. The market that I am looking to invest in is a lot of vacant buildings and off-market deals. Looking for advice on how to build relationships with equity partners. Essentially, I am willing to do all of the work and take less of the income in order to get my start in real estate investing.
