Jason, would love to! Yeah it's hard to find a good PM company up there. I keep mine very small so I can pay full attention and do things like change prices daily and answer rental inquiries within seconds no matter what time of night. I'll PM you!

Looking at that driveway scares me in the winter- where is that?

I've been wondering about this too. Right now I own in Big Bear which has been year round (225 nights a year) but looking to diversify and trying to find something in the LA area (2-2.5 hour drive radius) for under $350k. I always come back to Big Bear but now may look into Joshua Tree as well.

I'd love to find something on the water, beach or lake- just not sure it exists for under $350k

@Matt R. What an awesome place and it's booked that far in advanced? Big Bear is such a last minute destination- that's the only thing that drives me nuts about it.

I've thought about it I don't think it's allowed legally.

Great thread! Currently own 1 VR in Big Bear while managing 6 others and looking to buy a 2nd place somewhere in SoCal area.

I'm finding 99% of my rentals are now coming thru AirBnB even though I have the #1 best reviewed home in Big Bear on VRBO. Go figure.

Oh right. I'll take a look at rentals there on airbnb.

Is that kern river?
