@Jay Hinrichs You have to factor in your millage. In my city it would figure as follows...

500k x 4% x 0.2142 = 4,284 a year. 

If not owner occupied then use 6% and a higher millage...

500k x 6% x 0.3916 = 11,748 a year.

Recently obtained my license in North Carolina and will be using it in the Charlotte area. Does anybody have recommendations for an accountant who has experience in real estate or with agents in the Fort Mill or Rock Hill area? Thanks!

I'm in, sounds like fun. 

She might referencing that in South Carolina, if the residence isn't your primary residence, you're property tax assessment rate will be 6% instead of 4%.
