We put the apartment for rent and one family applied after the background checked were fined paid security and first month rent. The lease was to be signed soon but now saying need more time to move that means we loose rent or give the money back. We will loose the rent either ways what can be done when nothing is signed ?

@Brad Hammond everyone is reading google too much these days and are bed bug experts. The tenant is saying they can come via plumbing, walls , floors, switches etc etc so not sure just testing another room next door will satisfy them. We completely redid all units before they moved and this issue came one year after so hate to spend but worried if that’s the case can infect other units. I read that the stuff from the stores doesn’t work and also in case of any legal battle need to show that professionals were hired does this sound right ??

I have a multi family with 6 units and only one tenant keeps complaining of the bedbugs. The unit was treated professionally twice but the tenant is worried about other units. Do you have to do the treatment of all units in this case ?

@Joe Splitrock

Tenants are happy to get all the additional stimulus money and free housing. One of our tenants gave us the signed cdc declaration night before eviction hearing. We are now waiting for the another 60 days for the lease to end so can get the unit back. Not communicating much no partial payments made or discussed but signed under perjury.

We have filed for eviction but the tenant provided with a form of declaration under penalty of perjury cdc form. The lease ended feb 28th and we gave a notice to pay rent or quit on March 1st no payment till now. Is that enough or can’t evict ??
