Hello everyone, thanks for reading and responding! I am brand new to the idea of investing in real estate. I’d like to get some more information on what it looks like to start out with $0, or what I need to do to better prepare myself. I’d like to communicate and network with others to learn how they have done it, or if someone can point me in the right direction! Thanks!

Hey Stephen,

First you are in the right and BEST place to start your journey!

If you are starting read as much as you can and learn, then decide what you want to invest in.

There are many ways to start with $0. You can find deals for other investors and participate on the deal. You can use other people money(OPM) to buy deals and make some profits for you and for them. But as I said before you need at least some basic knowledge to do this.

My last recommendation is to look for a mentor preferably a local investor. Work for free for them and your learning curve will be faster than than do everything for yourself.

Hope this can help.

Hey Mario! Thanks for your advice! Where can I find local investors? Do they hang out at typical places? Or is there a place I can search for them? :)

You can find investors at meetup.com, here in Bigger Pockets, and in your local REIs

Hello you can find them right here in BP.

Also, check up your local meetup.com or REIs.

With 3% interest rates I would say hold and save up to cover mayor unexpected expenses and the reinvest.

Hey Amity,

Well it all depend.

1- Do a research on your market to see how much comps of your property are generating in your area?

2- How much are you comfortable cash flowing per month? $100 or $1000?

Today's markets are very turbulent and things can change very fast.

Hey William,

Where do you want to purchase your next MTR? As you know different states has different price points and their owns rules for STRs as well.

Regarding the loan have a lot of options right here to find a lender that can get you the loan that works for you.

Hey DeAndre,

I think your idea is great! Most important thing is the bathroom has enough light and you are not over rehabbing according the area standard.

Hey @Danny Bittiker I would recommend a brokerage that is investor friendly and if you are starting out in real estate investing I am pretty sure there are a lot of things you will need to learn and be guided.

You can figure out things on your own but it will take you way longer than if you have a guide next you.

Hope this helps.

Quote from @Mario Morales Safah:

Hi everyone, my name is Mario and I am in the process of getting my California real estate license. I am planning on literally going to every brokerage I can think of near me, So-cal area, and trying to weasel my way into a spot whether it is a unpaid job at the start and working into an agent position from there. Does anyone have tips on finding a good local mentor that can guide me and push me to the limits. Thank you in advance. Hope this question makes sense, bit of a ramble.

 Hey Mario,

I would recommend you to contact @David Greene team if you are in So-Cal. I am pretty confident that you can find what you are looking for there.
