Post: Newly license Agent looking for brokerage suggestions in DFW area

Hello BP Members,

I recently acquired the Texas Real Estate license and I'm looking for a brokerage to park my license with.

I am looking for a broker that doesn't charge high fees and works with investors not requiring them to do any deals outside of there own real estate deals.

I've heard the term used as a ghost broker for these type of agreements.

Any feedback would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Hello Everyone,

I’m interested in investing in vacant lots in my local area. I’m currently living in a small town Lafayette, In but I’m also considering land investing in Indianapolis, In.

I have somewhat of an understanding of the beginning process of land investing . I know I would need to find a decent deal for a low price and basically upsell it to a potential buyer.

I’m curious about the different exit strategies and for selling the land and what is a realistic time frame of getting the lot resold to a potential buyer.

Thanks, in advance for all tips and feedback

First off I just wanted to say thanks to everyone that responded.

I moved to the Midwest temporarily for maybe two yrs max for work.

I will be moving back to Texas and primarily investing there as well. I didn’t want to miss any opportunities by waiting a whole two years to start investing even though I would probably save enough to make a larger dent.

I work long hours all year long and in the next 3-5 years I’m looking to fire myself from my job by replacing my current income with rental property income.

From my research multi family investing seems to be the route to take. I’m currently developing my understanding of Real Estate Investing so that I can make a sound choice with my first property purchase.

My job doesn’t lend the flexibility to be able to travel back and forth to assess a property for a long period of time but it does provide the capital required to start investing.

Hello Fellow BP Members,

I'm currently working on the Midwest and I'm saving the capital to start investing in Multi-Family properties as early as 2017. I'm originally from Texas so i would feel more comfortable purchasing my first property in Texas. I have been spending a lot of time educating myself through books, podcasts and online REI forums. I'm seeking feedback on how to cut down risk in investing in Texas when I'm currently living in the Midwest. I'm looking for at least a triplex the largest property I would consider purchasing would be an 8-10 unit complex.

I welcome all opinions and feedback.

Thanks in advance.

Hello Fellow BP Members,

I’ve started to become interested in apartment investing. The more I research I’ve done on apartment investing I think I like the cash flow benefits of investing in a small apt vs one to two duplexes.

I’m working with a low six figure salary what are some hypothetical prices I would expect to see on a 10-12-unit apartment building? I’m from Texas but I’m currently in the Midwest working so I accept all responses regardless of where you are located. Also, I would be looking to pay out of pocket for a large portion of the deal and finance the rest of it.

Thanks, in advance
