thanks, reading sounds like a simple solution to such a complex business. ive read a few books and take a licensing course so i think im heading in thhe right direction. Would you reccommend talking with local agents and investors to learn how they got started in this area?

i think ill continue with the course for the education benefits and the mls usage. And if it becomes a problem, i can wait until it expires and not renew it. Thanks for the help.

And also when your friend or neighbor is considering selling their house or looking for a house, you can make a quick buck on the side.

I read somewhere before its just a waste of money but when actually considering the education and resources it gives you i think its well the worth the price. Besides it also gives you contacts within your own office and partnering brokerages.

I am now taking a real estate licensing course in NY in hopes of gaining an introductory knowledge about the business. Is this a good idea if my aspirations are to invest and rehab properties? And do the binding laws of being an agent hinder any RE investment practices?

I'm looking to get into RE investing around my hometown, would anyone recommend it is a good investment in this "iffy" area?

I'm a recent high school graduate and enlistee into the US air force. My lifelong passion has been Real Estate Investing and now im beginning this dream. I'd appreciate it if you could recommend great resources so I can learn the ins and outs of R.E Investing.
