Post: Finance options for Australian citizen investing in USA

Hi Greg

@Alex Deacon is pretty right, we find it much easier to purchase the properties cash.  There are some options as non US citizens to pull the equity out after the property is seasoned which can work, and generally a little easier that way then trying to leverage upfront

But for your budget you should be able to get some great cashflowing properties!

G'day BP

A quick shout out to any members based in Melbourne Australia!  We are holding our first live networking event in the city, if anyone is in town it would be great to meet.  Thursday 14th Sept - 6:00 registration & coffee for a 6:30 start.  Should finish around 8pm

Address of the event is:

Batman Hill Hotel on Collins

623 Collins St

Melbourne VIC

opposite Southern Cross Railway Station

To come along we will need everyone to register so we can ensure seats and tea/coffee etc.  Seats are limited. Registration is via this link -

https://admin67e520.clickfunnels.com/live-event

It is free so please register and come along, it would be great to see anyone. We will run through how we invest in US real estate from Australia; steps we take and processes etc.  Should be informative and a great opportunity to meet and network with other US investors or people interested in investing in the US market

Any questions, feel free to reach out - [email protected]

Hi Yannick

I am an Aussie and we do a lot of US investing, so it can definitely be done.  My best advice - get yourself a great team on the ground!  Need to allow for the time difference of course so you need to be a little more organized as things take a bit longer but its been quite a ride so far :)

Best of luck and welcome to BP!  The best info is definitely here.

Cheers

 Hi Dallin

Actually Luc is correct there are deals, just much harder to find.  I invest in both US and AU real Estate.  Admittedly I stay out of Sydney, but have colleagues that do very well there still.  Just a totally different market requiring completely different strategies.  QLD is very good and can find some good positive geared properties is cities still - and you get great capital growth to boot! :)

Hi @Garrett M.

There are options.  Federico is correct, the median house price in Sydney has just jumped over the AU$1M mark, but there are some options depending on what your family has as far as equity/cash.  Also some great options out of Sydney in Cities such as Melbourne or Brisbane - still giving very high capital growth options without negative cash flow.  Much harder to find than in the US for sure...but they are there.  Still enough to keep us Aussie investors busy :)
