Post: Asbestos

Hi,

I've been looking at  a lot of houses looking for a multifamily to invest in. I'm finding in my area a lot of houses that are 100 years old or more sometimes and have asbestos shingles/roof.

My question is, because of the environmental issues should I just move on or can I invest in these properties even with the asbestos. I know once you disturb it your in trouble.

Any opinions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Lesley

Hi,

When calculating NOI, why do you include electricity and gas? Don't the tenants pay that in a multifamily?

Confused.

Hi,

I'm a newbie and wondering if I find a good wholesale deal and I don't have any buyers lined up to buy my deal, where do I find them?

Thanks

Lesley

Hi,

My name is Lesley. I'm new to investing and this site. I'm interested in buying a Multifamily home in the Black Rock area of Bridgeport. I own in Black Rock at the moment but I'm in a Coop that can't be rented. I want to sell my place and purchase a multifamily to live in and with some cash flow. I'm finding it rather daunting and some of the lower priced properties need a lot of work.

I have no problem putting work into the property but I don't want the upgrades to be crazy or out of my price range.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi,

I'm a newbie and I'm looking to buy a multi family to live in and there is a house near me deeply discounted due to freeze damage. I have not seen the inside of the house yet but the price seems right and I'm not afraid of getting the work done. My question is, is it worth it to take on a house with freeze damage or will I be taking more headaches then it's worth.

Thanks for your input.
