Asbestos
Hi,
I've been looking at a lot of houses looking for a multifamily to invest in. I'm finding in my area a lot of houses that are 100 years old or more sometimes and have asbestos shingles/roof.
My question is, because of the environmental issues should I just move on or can I invest in these properties even with the asbestos. I know once you disturb it your in trouble.
Any opinions or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Lesley

I don't think it's the 100+ year old houses that you have to worry about. It's the houses in the 1950s-1970s where asbestos was commonly used.
