@Scott L.

I do the same with my tenants. They go to the bank with cash, money order, or check and deposit it into my business account. I have had zero issues with it, and the money is available the next business day with cash and money order deposits, checks clear in about three to five business days. I have put the responsibility on them and it saves me some time.

@Carrie Smith

This is the place to start. A lot of great, free information on this site.

@James Wise

What do you think is going to happen to the new rental inspection ordinance in the City of Cleveland? They charge rental registration fees each year. They have also started a rental property inspection program and planned to hire many new inspectors. I support inspections when construction permits are required, but an inspection just because we want to does not seem right to me.

@James Wise

A desperate article by a desperate journalist. Needed a story and decided to find something that could be twisted into racial profiling. Sad.

@Skylar Dejesus

I love this story. You just never know who will end up in your life and completely change it. In this instance someone you hated, first impression kind of thing. But now he is your business partner and things are going so well. We must always try to withhold our judgments and give everyone a chance to show us who they really are, or we may just miss out on a million dollar opportunity.

@Danielle McClelland

I started at 40. I am moving slowly but I am enjoying the journey. Can't wait to see what the future holds. Since I started I have diversified into fix and flip lending, crowdfunding, private REITs, along with rental property investing. I am learning as I go and I really wish I would have started doing this in 2008. I was too "Chicken" back then. The education that I have received from this site gave me the confidence to get started. I wish you good fortune on your real estate journey.

@Jason Goretzki

My company is a Nevada Corporation. They do that and a couple years ago they doubled their fees. It used to be the number 2 business friendly state. Not anymore. I have thought about moving my registration to another state.

@Jim K.

It's like being upset with your child or dog for bad behavior. No matter how upset you might be at them, you still love and care for them. Even if my tenant is late with the rent, I still check in on them and make sure they are well and the house is in good condition, and a clean environment for them to raise their children there. I am still upset the rent is late, but there are more important things than that.

@Nolan M.

That's outstanding! What an interesting story. Very outside the box.
