@Kenny Lewis Hi!  I'd love to connect.  I know you are wholesaling in Newport News, but I'd be interested the Richmond area you ever found yourself with deals in that area.   I also have the same question about PML and how you would pay them back on buy and hold / rental.  Did you happen to get any more insight on this topic?

Hi @Kevin McGaughey.  Welcome to BP.  Just in the beginning phases of real estate investing myself.  New to BP within the past month and live in Arlington.   If you haven't already, tap into the BP podcasts...they are quite helpful in the learning phase.  And they are my saving grace for all the time I spend in the car bringing kids to and from school.  Let's have coffee or lunch sometime soon - would love to connect!

Wow, amazing!  Congratulations @Elizabeth Colegrove!  Thank you for sharing...inspiring for sure!   I'd love to PM you for your step by step post on how you manage your houses if that is ok?  Also, my biggest challenge right now is learning about all the financing options that would be available to me.   Do you have a one stop shop place that you would recommend that I go to learn as much as possible?  For sure I have been scouring BP and listening to podcasts but I feel like I need one place that I can learn the very technical aspect of financing options, how they work, their requirements etc.   Any thoughts you may have would be much appreciated!  

@Carson Sweezy thank you. I am part of the Capital REI group on FB but I don't see / cannot find the listing of upcoming events? The only event I see is the Open House in Manassas on May 2nd. Would you mind pointing me to the area on the FB page I should be looking?

Hi All!

My name is Kristina and I live in Arlington VA with my husband and 3 little boys. I currently work in the Hedge Fund Industry and really enjoy it but I'm ready to spend more time with my family and less time in the office. I have a strong background in Finance and Accounting and have always been excited/interested in real estate investing. I am from Western Massachusetts and lived in Stamford CT for 8 years before moving to Arlington VA. My husband is from upstate NY.

I have been using BP to educate myself - listening to podcasts in the car and reading clips in any spare moment that I have.   My goal is to buy 2 rental properties by the end of the year and build my rental property portfolio from there.   I would also like to  begin attending local networking events as soon as possible so I can start learning from the people with experience and connect with other like minded people.  

I would love to connect with people in the Washington DC/Greater Metro area so please do not hesitate to reach out.  I may be new to the scene but I am determined and excited to jump in and build my business.
