-Be transparent and communicative with your clients! This is a huge purchase and constant communication can help support your client during the transaction, especially if they are a first time homebuyer. 

-Know your stuff! Be very familiar with your current market and be able to answer questions and provide value - providing value will set you apart from other agents.

What do you believe sets a successful agent apart from others? What are your experiences with agents that you found helpful/not helpful in your buying/selling/investment process?

Congratulations! I would say always be networking - everyone could be a lead. Begin and maintain a CRM as soon as possible. Don't be afraid to spend $ on marketing - you will make it back. Try to find a mentor you respect and that is successful, I learned so much by watching and shadowing especially starting out. And always be adding value to your clients and potential clients!
