So, am I the only one who feels that real estate school is nothing like what they said the career would be like.I feel like I've learned nothing, only obtained a license. Funny story, it took me going to another school with actual investors, brokers, & people who get there hands dirt in the business for me to truly learn what real estate is all about in all aspects. From landlording-flipping homes. Anyone, else feel like there should be a more extensive class that covers everything in depth about all types of real estate? Just a thought, I would love to hear everyone's opinions.

Thank you for all the information! I am not a licensed agent. I just wanted to clear things up to make sure the agent wasn't ripping me or my parents off somehow. 2 more months then Ill be licensed god willing.

The word "Diddle" is a funny word. But, no I am not trying to Diddle the bank. It's just when I talked to the bank on the phone they said the house value is 145,000 & that's what they want. Which left me confused on where the rest of the money goes IF someone was to buy it for a higher price.

Okay so, lets say the house that I am selling which is my parents... The bank & I agree that on a short sale price of 145,000 & I sell it for 160,000 thousand, Where does the other 15 thousand go if the bank only wants 160k? @David Dachtera

I'm just trying to get a better understanding, it's all just so confusing.

So hypothetically speaking @BrentCoombs, say if the bank agreed to sell a home for $50000 & the realtor sold it for 55,000. Does the Realtor keep that remaining $5,000 dollars?
