@Michael Guzik,

Hello saw your post...i'm with you on Gurus and ripoffs. I guess you've been attending those REIA meetings hosted by Shanoah & Phil Grove...hahaha. I was reports about him on ripoff report website. It's the same pitch over n over again.

Had some meetups here, but looks like they died out. On the other hand I usually go late after they are done with their pitch and meet people walking out. So I get there after 8.30pm, made new friends and met lots of people and general contractors.

See this link:

@Jim M.

Thanks for your inputs. Unfortunately these "gurus" have become mere GREEDY! Instead of that help-minded approach they have taken the fast route to making money by playing on people's mind

Allied is very good. I am taking my online classes with Allied. They are approved by TREC (TX RE Commission).

Hello @Christian Efseaff,

Awesome pointers from @Dawn Brenengen and @Emily Terrell. I would say get a catchy biz name that is easy to remember, and use your name on papers.  I was of the same type, over thinking what my biz name shud be, and I finally got over it. Send me your email and I will email you some links to very good sites to name your RE biz. It's good to think it thru but don't get stuck on it, cuz it's your rapport that people will remember and the relationships you built

Hello @Asta Cummings how has been your program with REIWebtools so far?

Hello @Armando Payano,

Appreciate expanding on why you thought the post was toxic?

@Michael Haynes Thanks for the well dissected explanation. So for a starter like me after losing everything I had in my previous business (please read my profile), what is your suggestion? After enough of reading books, and listening to podcasts, the actual experience in the field needs a mentor because those things are not found in RE books, courses, youtube videos, etc.

@Steven C. Suarez

If you look at the top right hand corner (where your picture is) of your browser, and hover over the "bell" icon, it will show a drop-down menu, select "inbox"

@Steven C. Suarez

I am working on my RE license, and just read about taking action against fraudulent realtors. The TREC pays $100K in damages. Need to report this useless agent to TREC to get his license suspended or revoked.
