I agree with Jon. There have been a lot of conversations on BP about purchasing a duplex to occupy one side and rent the other, it is a pretty common way to get started in rei and I believe a great way. Good luck!

Welcome to BY Kayla. I would use the search bar at the top right to find old threads about property management, there have been a ton of past conversations on the subject. If you cannot find what you are looking for, just ask, someone will point you in the right direction.
