Always see what you can find out about these things before you go. It amazes me to read that people have spent a lot of money on these events when a simple internet search would have thrown out a lot of red flags.

Have either (or both) of you thought about actually getting your real estate sale's license? There are a lot of threads that discuss the various reasons for doing so, you should check them out. Both my partner and I are licensed and it has served us very well over the last several years. Good luck!

The only fireplace I have ever painted is in my own residence. It had a horrible color brick and we painted it white and it looks great. I agree @Account Closed, yours is much improved now.
