Post: How many bed's do you own?

Hey BP friends!

I had a funny thought/ debate the other day and wanted to ask here to get some feedback. I'd love to hear how many beds you own as an RE investor.

This is probably directed to the folks in the STR + MTR space, but open to hearing from everyone. Also, would love to know how to find beds at scale for properties. Are you using big box retailers, amazon, FB marketplace, etc?

Thanks,

Post: How to hire admin staff?

Hi,

I've done some preliminary digging into hiring an admin to help with my operations. I figured the agents on here would have some experience hiring that type of staff member. My idea is to outsource some outreach and clerical work so I can focus on more important things, and quite frankly, that stuff drains my energy. I've also begun working on plans to help outline the workload/role requirements so a new person working with me can be easily onboarded. I'm sure there are plenty of things I'm not thinking of yet either...

Any suggestions on staffing/outsourcing companies would be appreciated. I have a few calls set up with companies right now but am hoping to hear some testimonials from the BP community.

Thanks in advance!

Hey Malik! Check out the Agent Finder on BP. Got a list of great agents in Maryland. Also, make sure they are the right fit for you. Ask some good questions. I'm sure plenty of folks here can help you with that. Good luck.

This is by no means all of the resources BiggerPockets offers!!! I am sharing with you all some of the ones I think are fantastic and that I've read/used in the past. I'm sure most of you have seen these, but for the newer folks on here, these links will help point you in the right direction.

Quote from @Craig Yoho:

I am currently a College Baseball player for Indiana University and will be graduating this spring. Post graduation I plan on playing professional baseball and investing into real estate. However, because of my unique scenario I don't know which route would be best for me to break into this industry. With that being said I would love to talk with someone who has experience in investing in Texas and picking their brain about potential steps I should take.

Hey man, inspiring stuff you got going on! Not sure how you found BiggerPockets but welcome to the world's biggest investing community. I watched an excellent video while trying to grasp this world: Brandon Turner's webinar on how to buy your first rental property. (Watch that webinar here).

If you're looking for market-specific professionals, use our find-an-agent tab to locate an investor-friendly agent or our network tab to connect with other professionals like lenders, property managers, etc.

Good luck on the journey, man!

Quote from @Jake Browning:

Hello BP community!

My name is Jake Browning. I am a new member of this amazing platform. I wanted to start this out by asking you, the investors, what you look for in a real estate agent. Being in the real estate world and dealing with single-family homes come with their obstacles. I would love to hear the investor's side of what they expect from the agent. What are three priorities you expect out of your Realtor? This can be in-state or out-of-state. I want to better myself as an agent and help other agents in the process. When everyone is on the same page; the smoother the transaction will be!

Hey Jake, welcome to BiggerPockets! This blog post is a little outdated but the title is "The Best Questions to Ask Your Realtor" Follow this link to read more.

Another awesome resource is Brandon Turner's guide for working with investors. This is probably more for you but check that guide out here.

Quote from @Jack Dahill:

Hey BiggerPockets Community,

I'm a new investor in Philadelphia looking to get started with my first Multifamily deal. After plenty of time spent reading, researching, and listening to BP podcasts, I'm ready to take the next step to find my agent and lender and start networking in the community!

If you have any recommendations for agents and lenders in the area or if you would just like to connect and chat please reach out.

Looking forward to starting my REI journey and finding the first of (hopefully) many deals!

Thanks,

Jack

Hey Jack, this is a great place to start your search! So many agents and lenders on here are eager to help. A great person for you to reach out to for a local Philly agent might be @Sheldon Zimmerman
