@Kiera Underwood

I’m doing it to get the low down payment. Is there any other loans that I can get but do not require owner occupancy?

If I move into a duplex what amount of time do I have to live there? 6 months or a year?

@Michael Derr

Yes, it’s possible. There is another duplex right down the road we think was held by the same guy. Also listed by the same guy.

But what issues could arise from that.

Me and my partner came across a duplex for sale. It is below market value and would cashflow very easily at minimum 800$ on a good day could cash flow 1200$.

The issue is that it’s a realtor listing it with the U.S. Marshals. I’m pretty confident it is not an auction. We went and viewed it. Very minimum rehab. Looks like a landlord couldn’t keep up with payments.

Has anyone bought through the process? Known someone who has?

If there are any risks? Etc?

Thank you

@Bob Okenwa ok so I wasn’t aware that it is actually mortgage fraud. That was what I was concerned about.

I have the down payment for investment properties however I would love to spread it out rather than just one.

So now I know. Mortgage fraud. Thank you.

Very simple. What is stopping me from buying a house with an fha loan that I don’t live in?

I am all about ethical. I know you have to live in it for a certain amount of time.

Is there a strategy to still have lower down payment and not live in it.

Do the banks really care that you live in it?

Any info helps.

Thank you

@Jim Cummings exactly, my thoughts. i asked about owner finance but they are trying to sell to pay off school debt. so they want it asap.
