@Will Holmes - welcome and congrats on the beginning of your real estate adventure!  I am from Stoneham, and currently live/work in Southern NH.  If you need any advice, just reach out I'm happy to help where I can.  Sounds like you have a solid plan and a good head on your shoulders, so I'm sure you'll do great!

@Rowlens Melduni

Definitely doesnt hurt to try. Besides the strong offer price, think of any other creative ways to make your offer just a little sweeter for the seller. Let them know you are open to negotiation and look forward to working with them. If this is a sentimental sale for them (i.e. they've owned it for 30 years), let them know what your plans for the property are so they know it'll be in good hands.

@Jared Chenel good for you for having those goals!  Make sure you keep a close eye on the Manchester market, as there are opportunities for owner-occupied multis all the time, and lots of redevelopment going on that could help your property value over the years.

@Matthew Gangi  Have you looked at the Southern New Hampshire market?  You'll find more affordable prices and it'll be easier to house hack.  @Account Closed makes a good point about Worcester as well. I'm not as familiar with that market, but am definitely in agreement with staying within driving distance for your first place.  Good luck!
