I purchased my first turnkey with REI nation and I can say without hesitation, that I would use them again.

I would also look into Spartan Invest, based in Birmingham, AL.

@Dusty Laurin

I’ve invested with Ashcroft and I’ve been very pleased overall. The cash flow has been exactly as expected and the team has been very responsive to all my questions. I’m not currently invested in their current fund model but that only because I decided to diversify a bit into a self storage fund.

Based on my personal experience with Ashcroft, I’d highly recommend you a least have a conversation with @Travis Watts.

All the best,

JM

I’m considering investing in a self storage fund but I’m trying to understand if there will be any tax benefits.

Does this type of investment produce a K1? Does it provide similar tax benefit as a multi family syndication?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts on the topic.

Hi, I'm still relatively new to RE investing. This year, I've acquired 1 SFH turnkey in Tulsa and invested in my first apartment syndication. Both have been great learning experiences but as I look forward, I anticipate the majority of my investments will be in syndications, since I prefer the truly passive style involved.

Since I work full time and don’t need the investment income for living expenses, I was wondering what types of syndications are out there that perhaps offer less (or no) cash flow but higher growth potential? As I build my nest egg for the next 12 years or so, I’m willing to trade cash flow opportunities for higher growth opportunities (for at least a portion of my portfolio). What should I be looking at and researching that is in-line with this mind set? What should I be concerned about?

Thanks for your input

Hi, new investor here. I bought my first turnkey SFR back in March if this year. It's cash flowing beautifully and the funds are deposited each month in a separate checking account that I opened for just this purpose. I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on another property and I'm wondering if I should establish a new account for the cash flow to be deposited in or if a should just "co-mingle" with the funds from property 1.

Just curious to know what others are doing Is it important to keep everything segregated?

Thanks !

@Corey M.

I bought the house in January. So the cash I used for the house missed the stock market crash and the subsequent rebound. Basically that money would be mostly flat YTD had I left it in an index fund.

My real estate investment has performed slightly better once I factor in loan pay down and a little appreciate. Additionally, when the market was taking I dump, I was feeling pretty good about my home purchase that was kicking off cash and seemingly shielded from the equity markets.
