Welcome @Jon Gutierrez

There are a couple of active meetups in Albuquerque that you should check out and attend.

@Jonathan Wooten thanks for reaching out. I no longer invest in smaller properties. If you find a 50-100 unit deal then let's talk!

It feels good to see that Albuquerque is finally taking off, I've been investing there for 6 years, and it's incredible how much rents have grown in the last year.

In addition, I own 65 units in Albuquerque and we have an active community that you can join once you move there.

@Alejandro Pesquera as Natalie mentioned, you are probably better off finding a “virtual” CPA. Having the right experience is probably better than being local.
If you DM me I can put you in touch with my CPA.

@Kim Kennedy I think Albuquerque is a better market for multifamily. I own 64 units in Abq, and rent growth has been great over the last year. Santa Fe is more of an appreciation market, where Abq is good for cashflow.

Hi Kim,
I live in Santa Fe. Awesome city, but expensive real estate market (for New Mexico).
What kind of deals are you looking for? Single-family, multi-family, short-term rentals?

Hi Garrett,
I live in Santa Fe, and invest in multifamily Albuquerque.
It depends on what you are looking to invest in? Single-family? Short Term Rentals? Multifamily?
SF is a really expensive real estate market (relativity speaking), Abq is more affordable.
I'm happy to give you additional information on how I see these markets.

Jens

I have owned properties in Albuquerque for years, and with the right strategy it can be a good market. Be careful of the D class areas and find a good PM.
I’m happy to discuss my experiences in the market.
