My friend is looking to purchase a multi family unit in Queens around the $300-$400k range. They are willing to go as far as an hour and a half from the city.  Can anyone recommend a good agent?

Thanks!

Jen

Agree with the above comments. I’m looking at brokerages too and was leaning towards KW but am not a fan of the crazy commission splits. I think the field is shifting and the traditional players need to shift their models. I’m in the process of researching the un traditional forms and am happy to discuss what I learn.

Welcome! This is an awesome site. I'd start connecting with others in the forum and checking out local rei meet ups and groups. Finding other investors near you will help you learn your market, what strategies others are using, etc. The podcasts on here are awesome, def worth immersing yourself in as you continue to learn. Best of luck to you on your rei journey!

Great job on academy! My husband and I live right near there and watched the place transform. Please keep us in mind as well. We are looking for a multi in south orange/maplewood/Bloomfield as a house hack. Def interested in linking up with other investors. I met Darren st the NYC Meetup. He's such a nice guy. I'll be at the even next week with Brandon. If you're going to be there, would love to connect. Happy investing!

Hi Nir Levy! Welcome! Are you investing form Israel or in the states? I'd strongly encourage to get a good team with boots on the ground. As you look along the Morris Essex line of nj transit you just need to be careful as you get into orange, east orange and newark areas. There is opportunity but you need to know what you're getting into. Yinna Wang congrats on your purchase! I'm curious how you found your deal in south orange? My husband and I are house hacking now but the market is nuts! Did you purchase for appreciation or cash flow? Are you also house hacking? Is it a single or mf? Thanks!

Joshua D. Happy birthday and congrats! I'm curious with your live in flips, how long did you live in each property for, what types of construction did you do, and how long did it take? We are thinking of doing a live in flip but we have a 5 month old. Trying to figure out the best way to do this. Currently we are house hacking. Thanks!
