Thanks guys I appreciate your responses. My credit is as perfect as it can be for someone my age (22). I start my job monday, and plan to put away atleast 2k every month as seed money.

As a forum junkie myself, I know forums are the best resources for first hand experience and information. So Ill hang out and here and read the topics everyday, as well as find some investment forums here in Arizona. I just moved from California, and the housing situation is alot different here in AZ.

But I want to start this venture to supplmenet my income, and hopefully be financially independent and quit my day job. So money is the prime motivator...obviously :)

When you say start small, what do you mean? Buy a cheap rental and see what becomes of it?

Hi everyone,

I just graduated from college and am starting my first real job as sales engineer this coming Monday. I've always been inspired to venture into real estate by my roommates father who essentially built his way into upper class from nothing. While in college ive read a few REI books thats covered the absolute basics. Now being out of college, I have a TON of time on my hands, and want to start studying RE and learn all i can, so that when I do have money I can do something with it.

So my question is where do I start? Should I read/learn every single article in the "learn" section here? Or is their a more efficient way? What do you recommend for a young noob like myself?

21yo, completely new to investment real estate. I was wondering if their is a housing index chart that shows the sales trend. Similar to stock.

It depends on how much money you want to spend. I had a computer engineering major at my university make a website for me with flash and everything for around 300$. But he was a student, typically graphic design/computer scripting guys charge 50-75$ per hour.
