I am getting ready to rent a home, and I am setting up with cozy also.  I wrote the agreement to allow for most types of payments with the idea that the tenant would like the on-line payments.

I'm glad to know that it is easy and that people are thrilled with that possibility.

May not be your situation, but I advertised my current home for rent as 'available July 1, and had several replies - this was after I was fairly sure the loan was going through.

Russ Fallon Welcome to BP. I am new also and just obtained a loan on a second house-going to rent the one we are now in. I already have a renter for ours (got two interested the first day listed on realtor.com through cozy). I learned a lot on this site in a short time and plan to purchase more buy and hold properties soon. I got my inspiration from the great people here- I'm sure you will love this site. I am near you so we may want to get together for dinner some time- maybe attend the real estate group meeting in your area-I've been meaning to get to one of those. Again, welcome. There is plenty of help here.

I just had my loan go through and I'm buying a fsbo home through a title company. It seems to be easier this way.

@Lee Smith

Awesome.  Thanks so much.  I have trying to find an association close to me.

I appreciate the information.  If you get down this way we need to have lunch.

Also, you must deal with loans in the area. I have been working with Prime Lending on a loan, and this is taking forever. I found out last week that they have information from my VA application that they had two weeks ago and it is getting to the limit of my 30 day timeframe for the offer I made. I told him to forget the VA and pursue USDA, and I can't find out if it will work within my time limit.

(long story - short) I am looking for a lender that I can work with even if this works out, I plan to do more purchasing and I would like to be able to bypass these issues.

Thanks again.

Jack

I spoke with a lawyer last week about writing a lease agreement for me since I am renting my first property. He wants $750 for the lease. This seems high to me, but I want to be sure I'm legally covered. Any experiences with this issue? I am in Indiana. It seems that I can find one cheaper than that that will work????

thanks for the info

Not sure of the area exactly. We were thinking of getting something to possibly move to.  Sounds to me that you can help. We have been to the area briefly and we really like it there. Thinking of looking around more to know a little more of the area, but you seem to be able to let us know where we may want to be.
