Jim Keplinger - congrats making an offer! From my experience in Bloomington, you might get laughed away. Have the sellers responded yet? You might be interested in our small but growing group of local investors. We meet the 3rd Monday each month at 7pm and in July we will be at Crazy Horse. This month is a casual meet and greet format but we also spend time analyzing deals, hearing from area service providers, and helping each other out! Good luck to you and hope to talk with you soon!

@Mihir Bhimaraju we are still a strong and active group! You are welcome to attend our April networking event at Crazy Horse in their back room. We are meeting at 7pm on 4/17 (always the 3rd Monday of the month) for a casual and open chat. 

@Darrin Eaton this is an old thread and I am sorry to have hijacked it! We haven't had many chances to chat at the meetings. If you can make it this month would love to chat about your thoughts on Bloomington Real Estate.

Many people see Bloomington as a college town but this area is far from campus and provides a much different renter than you would find in other areas closer to campus, downtown, or the east side of town.

@Shawn Holsapple - Thanks for saying something! I just that we set the group up as a private group and that prevents events from being viewable to the "public." I will see if that is a setting we can change. In the meantime, I just sent you a request on FB.

@Jack Middleton - Nice to meet you! Please come we meet the 3rd Monday each month at 7pm, usually at the library but not always. I will add you to our list here on BP.

Agreed with Jordan Sites !Bloomington is a uniquely different market than Indy and we are happy to welcome Joe to town. Contractor recommendations are regular request at our group meetings - there is plenty of work here in Bloomington!
