I have a quick question about taxes and Short Term rentals. I have been using my vacation home as an airbnb since January of this year but I will be using it for personal stay from November to Feb.

Will I still be able to use this property for reducing my taxes after a cost seg study using the STR loophole since it had been a STR for the rest of the year?

How did you transfer the title ? Quit claim ?

We asked attorney at title services transfer our deed. And yes it is a quit claim. Thank you

Do you mind sharing the attorneys info that you used to quit claim. Also, do you have to contact the bank that gives the mortgage to make sure the due on sale clause in not activated.

Has anyone used Fidelity's estate planning and advice services?

What has your experience been with them?

@Rolando DeLeon Are your rentals based in WI or somewhere else?  If you are in WI, I'm based out of Waukesha and can share the carriers who are the best in SE WI.

FYI - Each state & metro area will have different insurance carriers who have the most competitive programs..

Do you also provide umbrella insurance for short term rentals?

I am looking for a umbrella policy for my second home that will use as a STR.

My primary house, car and second home is insured through Farmers but they wont give me an umbrella policy for the second home that will be used as an STR. Is there any way around it ? Can I just get an umbrella policy from a different company and still keep Farmers for the rest of it?

I am in Fresno and looking to connect with anyone doing MTR for travel nurses here.

The market here seems to have pretty solid fundamentals for MTR/Travel nurses.
