Just made my first trip to the area and saw a few listings. Looks like the STR/Airbnb market is really strong there. Spoke to realtors and looks like there are a couple of local airbnb management companies along with cleaning services.

Now I'll keep looking for a good deal to come up and make an offer.

Hello Collin!

Have you ever been to that area? I have never been but planning a trip soon. From what I've been finding out, it looks pretty promising.

Hello everyone!

I am looking to buy my first STR/airbnb property in the Sonora to Dodge ridge ski resort area along highway 108. Airdna has been showing ~ 70-80% occupancy in the area given its proximity to the ski resort, lakes and Yosemite. Its within 2-2.5 hr driving distance from bay and the Sacramento area. Ave home prices are reasonable in the area and the market doesn't seem to be overpriced like the Big bear/Lake Arrowhead area.

I'm looking to connect with individuals who have or are planning to invest in this area and exchange information. I would like to know more about local managers/cleaning services/local laws etc to dive deeper into my analysis.

Looking forward to learn more from this excellent group!

I just saw the tweet too. Seems like it does check boxes, in the sun belt, relatively cheap home, potential for population growth with nearby Starbase soon to be established. UT at Brownsville is expanding with potentially a new Medical school in the area.

I'd love to connect with people who know the area better.

Thank you for the reply! what are good areas to look for in the BB area where houses are still not overpriced and at the same time is not a hassle to manage from Long distance. Also, How is the Lake Arrowhead market?
