Welcome to BiggerPockets!

Using your VA loan is a great way to start. I'm active duty Air Force with four properties, three are VA loans.

We can connect on a chat to share how I did it.

I wish you all the best.

I don’t think it is. A lot of time and money goes into test preparation and licensing. The juice may not be worth the squeeze to save money.

A good agent will be worth the cost you might spend, but you can also work with a good wholesaler as well.

I would recommend that if you work with a real estate agent, treat him/her as a teammate and not a tool in a toolbox or someone disposable. If they are showing you multiple homes, consider their time as well, and their desire to be compensated because it is their business too.

In San Antonio, I pay an annual and quarterly fee for MLS access.

I wish you all the best.

Congrats on your book!

I think some of this comes from our upbringing and what we’re taught or not taught and how what we saw shaped us in some way.

Some of us have further to travel toward a position of financial freedom, but it is not impossible. And for some, it is a matter of contentment with what they receive and being a good steward of it.

I wish you all the best.

My first buyer client came from BiggerPockets. He found me on the forums sharing info about the military and real estate investing. This is my niche. Plus, it helps when you are sharing your role as a real estate agent with your sphere of influence. My first seller client came from my SOI.

I wish you all the best.

Welcome to BiggerPockets!

Consider using your VA loan benefit to purchase a 2-4 unit.

I'm active duty Air Force and purchased three homes with my VA loan benefit.

I wish you all the best.
