By uneven do you mean globs of adhesive and nails sticking up?  Sorry, you need to do those one by one.

If you mean level but with dips/bumps, you can get the floor leveler cement.  Make it as thin as you can since it sets up quickly and you want to spread it all at once.  This is barring something like a rotted out support beam underneath which you can jack up to replace.

If you're as good as you can get, I've found linoleum plank is pretty conformal and will take a beating.

With uneven, i meant subfloor being not level probably because of age of the house.

Which paint color do you recommend for rental units? And which kind of paint for rooms, kitchen, washroom etc?

would you recommend 1 color paint only or multiple?

Folks, i am planning on renovating a 6 plex (all 2 bed units) and i see floors are little uneven. Which flooring would you recommend for bedrooms, kitchen and washrooms and hallways?

Much appreciated

Anyone else ever installed 'Loose lay or drop and done type vinyle flooring' ? These floorings do not have clicks or does not require any gule down.

Folks anyone else has any experience or suggestions?

Yes, that is true. I had kept some but I had some significant damage and needed more than usual. I have found some home depot lowes stuff stays in stock longer though.

Overall would you rate them to install again or would prefer something else for rental units? I had a bad experience with click and groove vinyl planks where click and joints break after sometime and replacement of a single plank is difficult.....vs i seen some videos where these loose lay planks are easier to install and replace.... What do you think?

I installed some in a unit about 4 years ago (purchased from floorstoyourhome). They were easy to install; last time I was in the unit I did see some gaps but it wasn't bad. The finish did have some scratching. I'd probably do some of the double sided vinyl adhesive tape here and there if I installed it again to try to prevent it. The biggest problem that I had though was, when I had some floors damage, the flooring that I used had already been discontinued so I wasn't able to get replacements.

Most of the flooring model after few yeara discontinue, isn't this normal? I thought they are very easy to replace if one or 2 planks get damaged and if you kept some spare for future replacement?

These are called 'drop down' or 'loose lay' vinyl planks which do not require any gule and you simply drop them on the floor.....

Folks,

what is your opinion on installing 'Drop down or Loose Lay vinyl Planks' on your rental properties?

These planks do not require any glue and are very easy to replace/ repair because no click and groove mechanism....

Any suggestions or thoughts?
