This might sound dumb...so I'm sorry ahead of time. But as a Corporation...if something goes wrong, the corporation gets sued. As a person, if things go wrong then you get sued.

Just kinda asking...

@Rizwan Qadri I would think, since my situation is as an owner/occupant, that buying for yourself is better. the mortgage is lower then rent. And, I'm using my own home as a base for learning. Owning it does not mean it is not an investment.

Hi all, I'm new to the site. Was turned on to it after attending a Meetup here in Santa Clairita, by @AxelBuendia.

I've read many of the post, and topics, mostly about getting started in Real Estate. Then it dawn on me that I already have started, I'm a home owner. Conventional processes....but I'm in Real Estate.

So I now have an "asset"...what I do with it is what is going to matter. For the moment I get a massive tax benefit through interest payments, and property tax credits. I think that as an owner/occupant, the tax benefits is all I have going for me.

I know that there is more "options", I just don't know what they are, or, how it work. Thus I'm here like many others to learn, to see how to take full advantage of this asset that I hold.

Anyway enough, good seeing and hearing from you all...looking forward to more wisdom from all the experts.

It's amazing what you can find out on the internet.  Looks like the correct address for Joinville Finance Inc is actually 8607 Espanola Dr, Helotes, TX 78023.  (Raphael had the street numbers and zip code wrong.)  In any event, it's just a residential home:

According to the Bexar County (Texas) property tax records, it's owned by Lazaro & Sara Kisel:

Lazaro & Sara Kisel are also both listed on the registered company information as the Director and Secretary of the company:

http://www.bizapedia.com/tx/JOINVILLE-FINANCE-INC.html

No mention of Raphael Kisel, but their registered agent is Paola Kisel who is licensed in Texas.....in Cosmetology.

https://www.searchtexaslicensing.com/business/COI-IN-1688412/kisel-paola

I searched for any NMLS license for Raphael, Lazaro, Sara, Paola and Joinville Finance, but there were "no matches found".

Lazaro also appears to be associated with Fall Investment Corporation, but it's listed as a Real Estate Development corporation (not a lender).

Lastly, for what it's worth, Lazaro is listed online as being 60-64 years old:

http://www.whitepages.com/name/Lazaro-Kisel

http://radaris.com/p/Lazaro/Kisel/

Hardly seems old enough to be the father of the person depicted in Raphael's user photo.  But who knows...maybe someone didn't age well.

Though it is a little suspicious that on a different website Raphael says his name is "Lazard Kisel".

Seems like enough to make someone go "hmmmmm".  Anyway, I have no dog in this fight.  Just didn't want to see anyone else get taken.

Do your own due diligence to be sure. Everything I found is public information.

 Nice work...+1
