@Terrence Redmond II

Hi Terrence, Great question.  I would agree to get your own agent who understands real estate investments.  Get someone who has experience in both Commercial and Residential Real Estate that has a track record of working with Investors.

Hi Tom, Welcome to BiggerPockets. You will increase your knowledge here and absolutely from the real estate courses. I learned a lot and am happy to be a licensed agent. While you are right that it's not necessary to buy a property, it does give you an edge into the market and terminology. Not to mention the ability to search the MLS. Representing investors both local and remote in commercial transactions has educated me exponentially, and I believe made me a well rounded Realtor. I'm sure you will find the same as you pursue licensure. If you ever want to bounce ideas off of me, feel free to reach out. And again, best of luck in your future endeavors.
