I ask because I had been thinking that it could be done much cheaper at home if you have the time to produce. Are you still buying lists or using an old one?
Congrats by the way! You're awesome.
Thank you!
Yes I'm printing and mailing my own postcards. When you go to USPS, you can apply for a standard mail IMPRINT permit which is a yearly $225. You print the postage on your postcards so you don't need to stamp:
Design you postcards and add the imprint to the top right corner. It's literally a square with your postal permit number. Nothing fancy.
Print them out
Take them to staples and they will cut them ( 75 cents to cut 250 sheets)
Take them to the post office and that's it!
It's SO easy and if you buy a good cheap printer for like $250 you can get the double sided printing ones so it's even quicker. To print about 3,000 quarter page or half page size postcards would take like 2-5 hours or less AND you can do the BIG postcards and still pay only .238 cents.
I am still mailing to the same original lists but also I have access to the MLS so I'm constantly adding names to my lists (even though I haven't been consistently mailing to them every single month). I think I'm going to start cycling them and mailing for a total of 2 years or something but not sure yet.
